A few are long-awaited follow-up efforts from indie studios that have already made their mark, like Team Cherry's Hollow Knight: Silksong and Rockfish Games' Everspace 2, but we made sure to include quite a few cool-looking titles from lesser known developers too.
They contain a variety of stories and protagonists, from sentient black holes stuck in a seemingly living world to a young con artist trying to grift her way to riches in order to save her mother's failing video store. Of the many indies currently scheduled to come out in 2021 and beyond, these 50 have really caught our eye. But 2020 is now over it's time to look ahead to 2021 and a whole new batch of indie games. Two indies in particular, Hades and Spiritfarer, are, in our humble opinion, some of the Best Games of 2020. Indie games continue to knock it out of the park every year-in fact, 2020 saw the release of a ton of excellent indies to play, such as If Found., Signs of the Sojourner, Umurangi Generation, Murder By Numbers, and so many others.
